Moodysson, Jerker

 

Jerker Moodysson holds a PhD in Social and Economic Geography. He is currently employed as an Assistant Professor in Innovation Studies at CIRCLE. His main areas of interest are (i) innovation processes in the intersection of science and industry and (ii) regional innovation systems (and policies).

He is currently involved in three large research projects:

  1. Constructing Regional Advantage: Towards State-of-the-Art Regional Innovation System Policies in Europe? (CRA), financed by the Swedish Research Council and European Science Foundation through the EUROCORES program (2007-2010).
  2. Organisational Change for Innovation and Institutional Entrepreneurship in Health-Care Systems (ICIS), financed by the Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (NOS-HS) through the NORDCORP program (2009-2012).
  3. Next Generation Regional Innovation Policy: How to Combine Science and User Driven Approaches, financed by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (2010-2012).

He is a teacher at the Master’s Programme in Society, Science and Technology (ESST). In spring 2010 he is responsible for the course The Geography of Innovation.

He is engaged as referee for the following academic journals: Economic Geography, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, European Planning Studies, European Urban and Regional Studies, Geografiska Annaler Series B Human Geography, Industry and Innovation, International Small Business Journal, Research Policy, Regional Studies.
