How is AI transforming research, innovation, and policy today – and how can you engage with it responsibly? Join the EU-SPRI Autumn School 2026 and the one-week intensive programme for PhD students and early-career researchers to learn about this current topic.

The course aimed at PhD students and early-career researchers is held at CIRCLE in Lund, Sweden. It combines three key perspectives:

  • AI as a research tool – practical, hands-on training in methods like machine learning, topic modelling and LLM's (no prior coding experience required).
  • AI as an object of inquiry – understanding how AI shapes innovation, research, and policy design.
  • AI as a socio-technical system – exploring ethical, societal, and governance issues such as bias, transparency, and sustainability.

The programme is interdisciplinary, international, and open to researchers with diverse backgrounds. What matters is motivation to engage with these topics and a willingness to learn.

Make sure to apply for the course by 16 August!
