We are facing major challenges related to climate change, geopolitical uncertainty, and technological change. Addressing these challenges will require significant societal and economic transformation, and our ability to adapt will be crucial in determining how resilient our societies become.
One key insight brought forward in the panel discussion was the importance of coordination across different levels of governance. The more effectively local, regional, national, and international actors – including the EU – work together, the better the conditions for sustainable development and for improving people’s opportunities to lead good and fulfilling lives, both locally and globally.
Hosted by CIRCLE, the panel discussion brought together our researchers Linda Stihl and Markus Grillitsch, alongside Member of the European Parliament Alice Bah Kuhnke and Peter Griepenkerl Lööf, Head of Research at the Länsförsäkringar Research Foundation. The discussion was moderated by Lars Coenen, Professor of Innovation and Sustainability Transitions.
