Community

CIRCLE strives to be a diverse and inclusive community which means membership is open to a broad variety of academics with an interest in innovation research. Diversity is reflected in the current members' different research area interests, faculty affiliations and degree of academic experience, as well as nationality.

Activities

The broad network in innovation research that CIRCLE provides through its members is complemented with different activities to fascilitate the exchange of ideas and support.

  • Research talks – An opportunity to present ongoing work and get feedback from colleagues, as well as to discuss current theoretical issues and empirical research.
  • Seminars – Keep up to date with current research by joining the CIRCLE seminars where talks are given by eminent, international researchers and cover a range of topics related to innovation research.
  • Monthly meetings – The CIRCLE director keeps everyone up to date with current topics as well as the progress of the centre's organisation and its development.
  • Retreats and annual meetings – Members, board and international advisory board meet for an annual opportunity for focused, in-depth discussions.

Membership

The CIRCLE community is continuously welcoming new members by offering two types of membership. Lund University employees have the opportunity to become “full” members whereas researchers, with an interest in innovation studies, from other universities can apply for an “affiliated” membership. The different types of membership are similar, but entail slightly different levels of commitment which you can read about in the membership citeria
